PERDOSKI (Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kulit dan Kelamin) takes an opportunity to hold another national congress (Kongres Nasional/ KONAS) on August 26th-29th, 2014 in Bandung. Located in the Ballroom of Trans Hotel, this KONAS XIV chose the theme of "Integrity and Existency of PERDOSKI in Fulfilling the Good Quality of Public Health Needs through Current Diagnostic and Innovative Therapy". Numerous programs took place in KONAS both in the scope of science such as symposium, workshops, plenary lectures, oral poster presentations, and even the social programs which includes organizational assembly, social services, and art and culture night.
The first day of KONAS, August 26th 2014, marks a social event covering Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) counseling at a Bandung High School. During the past decades, sexual and reproductiveve health in adolescents has become a center of world's attention due to the abnormally free sexual activityies. The lack of awareness about this issue has contributed to the increase of unwanted pregnancy which eventually end with abortion and attaining several risks of sexually transmitted diseases as an impact of having multiple sexual partners. Moreover, STDs may be transmitted by sharing the same syringes or through vertical transmission from a mother to her child,which unintentively puts higher concerns on this issue.
