The Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (INSDV)/PERDOSKI attended the 45th American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference on Energy-Based Medicine & Science, held on May 7–9, 2026 in Savannah, United States.
As part of the meeting, INSDV/PERDOSKI was represented by dr. Irwan Junawanto, Sp.D.V.E. at the 2026 President’s VIP Reception, a special gathering held in honor of Dr. Ashish C. Bhatia’s completion of his term as ASLMS President 2025–2026. During this occasion, INSDV/PERDOSKI was formally acknowledged as one of the ASLMS Cooperating Partners, reflecting the growing partnership and international collaboration between the two organizations.
To commemorate this collaboration and express appreciation, personalized plaques from INSDV/PERDOSKI were presented to:
- Dr. Ashish C. Bhatia, FAAD, FASLMS – President of ASLMS 2025-2026
- Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi, PhD – Incoming President of ASLMS 2026-2027, and
- Dr. Mathew M. Avram, JD – Course Director of ASLMS 2026
in recognition of their leadership and contributions to ASLMS and the advancement of laser and energy-based medicine globally.
In addition to representing INSDV/PERDOSKI at the VIP Reception and networking activities, dr. Irwan Junawanto also participated in the scientific program as a speaker during the “iASLMS – International Symposium (Non-CME)” session, where he delivered a presentation entitled “Common Laser and EBD Applications in Southeast Asia”.
INSDV/PERDOSKI’s participation at ASLMS 2026 highlights the society’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international collaboration, scientific exchange, and future partnerships in dermatology, venereology, and aesthetic medicine.
